A non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the interests and well being of the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge.

NORTHERN NECK MASTER GARDENERS
Trained volunteers who provide their community with research based gardening and horticulture information.  Partners with FOR in the Lancaster Primary School demonstration rain garden project.

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is a regional nonprofit organization that builds and fosters partnerships to protect and to restore the Bay and its rivers.
AMERICAN RIVERS
American Rivers is a national non-profit conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring healthy natural rivers and the variety of life they sustain for people, fish, and wildlife.
CHESAPEAKE STORMWATER NETWORK
The Chesapeake Stormwater Network advocates for reform of federal, state and local laws, permits, regulations and design manuals to promote more sustainable stormwater management in the Chesapeake Bay.
VIRGINIA SAVE OUR STREAMS
VA SOS trains and certifies volunteer water monitors throughout the state. Data collected by VASOS certified monitors is sent to state agencies for use in water quality assessments. They are a nonprofit, non-governmental organization, and a project of the Virginia Division of the Izaak Walton League of America.
CLEAN VIRGINIA WATERWAYS
Clean Virginia Waterways is a state-wide, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization dedicated to improving the cleanliness and quality of Virginia's waterways by promoting citizen stewardship.

The mission of the American Canoe Association (ACA) is to promote the health, social and personal benefits of canoeing, kayaking and rafting and to serve the needs of all paddlers for safe, enjoyable and quality paddling opportunities. The ACA is one of the leading national organizations involved in enforcing he Clean Water Act.
LOW IMPACT DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The Low Impact Development Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of Low Impact Development technology. Low Impact Development is a new, comprehensive land planning and engineering design approach with a goal of maintaining and enhancing the pre-development hydrologic regime of urban and developing watersheds.
Essex County Countryside Alliance
The Essex County Countryside Alliance is a group of concerned landowners and citizens of Essex County and beyond, who are dedicated to the preservation and conservation of the Natural, Scenic and Historical Resources of Essex County, Virginia and the entire Rappahannock River Valley.
Northern Neck Land Conservancy
Educates and facilitates with processes allowing owners to protect their land by using simple, voluntary land preservation agreements.

Canoeing, tubing, hiking, climbing, and instruction on the Rappahannock River.  VOC supports FOR by donating canoes, kayaks, and safety equipment for all FOR trips!
 

VIRGINIA FISHING ADVENTURES
Fishing camps for 7-14 year olds on the Rappahannock, Rapidan and nearby ponds.  VFA supports FOR by donating a portion of the camp tuition fees to FOR!
