Cassandra Pallai - Education Coordinator
Minimize

Cassandra is thrilled to be serving her AmeriCorps VISTA year as FOR's education coordinator!  She hopes that her efforts to develop and improve FOR's education programming will make a difference both for the youth in the community as well as for the health and future of the Rappahannock River.

Before moving to Fredericksburg, Cassandra received her B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH; there, she majored in Economics and Environmental Studies, and minored in Geology.  Through her studies, outdoor hobbies, and student group activism, she discovered passions for conservation, environmental justice issues, and education.  She also enjoyed putting her interests to work with several of the city's environmental non-profits, including the Cleveland Earth Day Coalition and the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes.  Pursuing a graduate degree in conservation biology or ecology is Cassandra's goal for after her year at Friends of the Rappahannock.
