Rebecca Kurylo manages the development of financial resources to support Friends of the Rappahannock's river conservation programs.  She first joined Friends of the Rappahannock in 2007 to coordinate the Livable Neighborhood Water Stewardship program, which uses a social marketing and behavior change approach to community education.  Immediately prior to becoming Development Director, she served a year as an Americorps volunteer with FOR, working on marketing and development support. 

Rebecca served in the Virginia Air National Guard as a Public Health Officer and the U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa.  Rebecca was a Volunteer and Outreach coordinator for the National Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.  She has a BS in Biology, graduate courses in Public Health and a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Development.

Rebecca grew up sailing and is now being schooled in the smaller crafts learning to paddle on the Rappahannock.
